The Beginning
We may have changed the face of Sharon International School many times over the last 15 years, but our school remains as friendly and warm as when it first opened in 2005. Located at the heart of Vientiane, Laos, SIS still provides and offers an excellent education in a safe and healthy environment.
Flamboyant Chronicles
When Sharon International School first started, it was only with a one semester curriculum. However, provision of various activities, such as piano, art, and Korean classes were offered during the next school year.
In 2011, SIS successfully accredited its education system through licensing from the Texas Education Agency (TEA), USA. New and more exciting activities were added in the program, such as taekwondo, computer, music, and physical education classes. In the following year, swimming and English as Secondary Language (ESL) sessions were added.
In 2011, a new building was constructed so SIS could provide better quality education for its learners. As a result, SIS expanded its subjects offered, including various foreign languages namely Chinese, English, Korean, and Lao.
Towards Commitment and Excellence
From the beginning to today, SIS is passionately committed in preparing diverse learners towards excellence in a holistic manner. With this, Sharon International School proudly received various recognitions from international competitions and was awarded by the Vientiane Lao Ministry of Education and Sports, Sisattanak District Level for being an excellent school.
