Kindergarten Community Helpers Day

Dear Parents,
During the week of April 22-26, 2019 the SIS Kindergarten will be learning about Community Helpers.” This is an important part of our curriculum and we will discuss all different types of community helpers and how they are important because they make our lives better, keep us and the community safe, and help our community function better. We will also discuss how the children themselves can help the community and talk about what they are interested in doing when they grow up!
We will have our closing program on Friday, April 26, 2019 and are asking all students to dress up as a community helper (ex. doctor, nurse, firefighter, policeman, teacher, baker, etc…) and then will role-play that community helper. The celebration starts with a special morning assembly followed by students displaying their costumes, and finally role plays with real-life displays of various workplaces.
We are all looking forward to this very exciting activity. If you have any questions, please contact the office.
